Risk Assessment


Risk Assessment
What are the hazards? Who is at risk? Existing control measures? Risk Rating
(1-highest, 5 lowest) Preventative Measures Responsibilities
1.Equipment falling on us Both of us Carry the equipment in the bag 5 To carry the equipment in bags and to be careful when holding the equipment. Making sure equipment is set up correctly.
2. Guitar falling on feet Guitarists Nothing 3 When playing the guitar play it with a strap on so it doesn’t fall on one of the performer’s feet. Making sure whoever is holging the guitar that they use the strap to handle it.
3. Drum sticks hitting someone in eyes Drum player Nothing 3 When playing the drums don’t throw drum sticks in air so it doesn’t hit drummer in eyes. Telling person not to throw sticks in air.
4. Keyboard falling down Keyboardist Nothing 3 Make sure that the keyboard is standing up right so it doesn’t cause any damage. Making sure its put up correctlt so it doesn’t end up damaging someone.
5. Bottle cutting someone All of us but mainly the actors Hold it with gloves 4 To wear gloves or not use a bottle at all. Handle it with gloves.
6. Tripping down stairs. Me, Patsy and actors Hold on to railings 4 Not to run down stairs and just walk or just don’t face the stairs with back to stairs. Not to run downstaire and too hold onto the railings.
7. Getting fingers trapped in tripod Me and Patsy Nothing 3 Open the tripod slowly so not to get finger stuck or cut in tripod. Not to muck around when setting up tripod.
8. Getting hit by a golf ball All of us Nothing 3 A preventative measure of this is that we should either wait till their isn’t any golf being played or just look for another location. Making sure we out of the way when golf is being played.
9. Getting stung by thorn bushes while walking through forest. All of us To maybe look on the map of the forest and see if theirs another way we can get to our location. 3 To be careful when going through thorns and to make sure none of us fall or none, of us aren’t wearing short sleeves. To care first aid incase we get stung by some of the thorns.
10.Getting hit by car while filming scene in car park. All of us To be more aware of cars when filming and to keep on the pavement and not the road. 2 Another preventative action towards the hazard could be filming when there are no cars being driven. Its our responsibility to be aware of our surroundings in the car park.
11.hitting head on glass Actor Not to stand so close to window when filming. 4 A preventative measure for this hazard is when filming, we will not be too to glass. Not to be too close to glass when acting is acting.
12. Glass bottle cutting us. All of us but mainly actor When handling bottle we will wear gloves. 3 Another preventative measure of this hazard is that we put the glass bottle in our rucksack so none of us get cut by the bottle. To handle the bottle with gloves or to leave in a bag were it can’t damage anyone.
13. Falling down in muddy terrain. All of us We will just wear shoes that don’t make us slip. 4 Another preventative measure would be that we wear shoes that don’t allow us to slip. Responsibility to at professionally when filming in a public space or for us to find another location.
14. Film with light on in photography room so we don’t fall over wires. All of us When filming we will film with lights on so we know here the wires are. 3 Another way of preventing this measure would be someone telling people when their getting to close to the wires. Responsibility to be aware of were the wires are before we start filming.
15. hands being burnt by lights used for filming. Me and patsy An existing measure is that we will use gloves when putting away lights. 3 rating of hazard. Another preventative measure would be us getting someone else who knows how to take down the lights. Its our responsibility to handle the lights with care.
